Imagine developing a program that generates variations of these puzzles using a standard English dictionary—especially intriguing would be the second puzzle. Are there combinations of more than three words? I would be eager to find out!

The first puzzle consists of pairs of words that are spelled the same, with the exception that in the first word, three consecutive consonants have been substituted with three consecutive vowels in the second word. Here’s an example: "In a gentle way" translates to "social environment" leading to the answer: mildly, milieu.

The first word loses its first and last letters to form the second, and similarly, the second word loses its first and last letters to create the third.
